History

JFM Contracting was founded by (and is still owned by) Jared McBride, in 2004.

Jared grew up on a farm and had always loved working with, and on, machinery.  After serving his apprenticeship in engineering and fabrication and working in the engineering industry for 8 years he decided it was time to get out of the workshop and start up his own business.
 

From 1996 I had been working for a friend during the summer months on weekends and in my free time assisting with harvesting, when in 2003 the opportunity arose to a purchase a tractor and do more hours.  I decided that I needed winter work also and looked at the local farming community to see what service was missing and saw a need for a hedge mulching operation and in April 2004 JFM Contracting was born.
